The licenses of two psychiatrists have been revoked by the state Board of Registration in Medicine for alleged abuses of their physician privileges, the board announced yesterday.
Dr. Reinaldo de los Heros, a psychiatrist and neurologist from Lawrence, was convicted for overbilling his patients by $ 245,000. The board also found that de los Heros repeatedly violated state law by giving his staff signed but otherwise blank prescriptions.
Also on March 12, the board suspended the license of Dr. James Ross of Boston. The panel accused him of engaging in sexual misconduct, improperly prescribing controlled substances, committing a breach of confidentiality, being convicted of a crime, and making false statements to the board on license applications.
