WEST BLOOMFIELD: Doctor in fraud case loses license
A West Bloomfield psychiatrist who was sentenced in August to 10 months in prison for falsely diagnosing new immigrants seeking exemption from naturalization rules has lost his medical license, the Michigan Department of Community Health said Friday.
Dr. Chilakamarri Ramesh, 55, was convicted in federal court in Detroit of conspiracy to commit naturalization fraud, and will have to pay more than $30,000 in fines.
Between 1991 and 2001, Ramesh, based in the Four A’s Hope Global Psychological Evaluation Center in Dearborn, signed 953 false and fraudulent naturalization waiver forms for 492 people in Dearborn, Cleveland, St. Louis and Chicago.
