Jury convicts former Wyoming psychiatrist

CODY, Wyo. (AP) – A former Wyoming psychiatrist has been found guilty of several charges stemming from a crash that injured another person.

A jury in Cody convicted Matthew Hopkins of intentional misuse of a toxic product, controlled substance DUI and aggravated assault.

The Cody Enterprise reports that District Judge David Park sentenced Hopkins to 18 to 36 months of prison, with credit for a little over two months he served last summer in jail.

Prosecutors said Hopkins had been inhaling compressed air before the wreck occurred on March 14, 2017…
