Psychiatrist cited for DWAI case

Dr. Gregory T. Lombardo, a psychiatrist in Pound Ridge and New York City, has had his license to practice medicine suspended for five years, with the suspension stayed, and was sentenced to professional probation for five years and a $5,000 fine.

The state Office of Professional Medical Conduct assigned the penalties after Lombardo was convicted in Yonkers a year ago of a misdemeanor count of driving while impaired by drugs. He is permanently limited from prescribing controlled substances to employees, family or friends. The penalties went into effect last week.
