United Press International January 23, 1982 Dateline: LOS ANGELES A psychiatrist who billed Medi-Cal $1,500 for 11 counseling sessions with a woman patient -- nine of which included sex with his patient while her boyfriend watched -- has been sentenced to six months in jail. Municipal Court Judge Marion Obera imposed the sentence on Dr. George Huthsteiner, 61, Friday, saying the billings constituted both grand theft and petty theft of Medi-Cal funds and a violation of his parole. The Associated Press February 22, 1984 A psychiatrist accused of subjecting his ex-wife to bizarre experiments, including injecting her with her own urine, has been ordered by a jury to pay her $6.5 million. Ann C. Sleeper's malpractice suit against Dr. Harold Sleeper, medical director of Willow View Hospital, a local private mental facility, alleged he injected her while treating her for a variety of physical and mental problems. Her attorneys also said Sleeper convinced his wife her severe depression, paranoia and physical problems were due to the foods she ate and synthetic materials such as her polyester ski jacket. [...]
