New Hartford psychiatrist accused of sexual abuse and forcible touching

Psychiatrist Surendra Johri
Utica Police say Dr. Surendra K. Johri turned himself in on June 18 to face charges of third-degree sex abuse and forcible touching, which police say are related to alleged misconduct by Johri while working as a psychiatrist in Utica.
Johri was booked on the charges and released, according to Utica Police.
Utica Police say the NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs assisted with the case. Anyone with more information is asked to call 315-223-3510.
According to WKTV, last week Johri was found not guilty by a city judge of sexually abusing a patient in another case.
