Pinellas County psychiatrist facing child porn charges

PALM HARBOR — A Pinellas County psychiatrist was arrested June 30, after investigators said he possessed child pornography.

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Investigations Unit said the suspect is 61-year-old William Hervey, a board-certified psychiatrist and owner of Advantage Mental Health Center in Clearwater.

The investigation began after authorities said they received information that child pornography files were being accessed and shared online…
