PRISON PSYCHIATRIST JAILED AFTER ALTERCATION

Florida State Prison’s head psychiatrist was in jail Tuesday on charges of breaking into a Bradford County home and threatening his former girlfriend at knife-point.
Robert E Bell Jr, who has worked at the Starke prison since 1988, was arrested after Donna Lee Brannen reported that he broke into her home. Investigators said he threatened to stab and kill her unless she returned items he claimed she had taken: chocolate syrup, several cans of tuna and some cigarettes.
Bell was charged with armed burglary and aggravated assault.
